Coaching/Training Plans

PERSONAL BEST Performance is pleased to provide beginner training plans for those who are preparing to compete in either a Sprint or Olympic/International distance triathlon. These plans will assist any individual who is in good health and can commit to four hours of training per week. Each of the plans include the training targets for the weeks leading up to your event, however the day of the week or the time of day is up to the individual. If you complete each of the timed training sessions you will be able to cross the finish line feeling great about your accomplishment and able to enjoy the post-race activities.

Remember to keep your training at a pace that you can maintain for the entire period of each workout session. Enjoy the opportunity to gain greater fitness, pursue new goals, and be part of the fastest growing sport in the world.  If you would like a more detailed and personalized training plan please consider contacting one of the two coaches listed below.

Of her 134 career races, she won 33, stood on the podium 86 times, and had 114 top 10 finishes over all distances from sprint to Ironman, specializing in the Olympic distance.  She represented the USA in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, placing 9th. After retiring from racing in 2005, she began coaching and working part-time for USAT, currently identifying Olympic Team talent from NCAA swimming and running programs. She addresses all the little things in life and training that can make an athlete his/her best. Her coaching business focuses on the experienced triathlete wanting to take their racing to the next level.

Barb lives in Alta, Wyoming with her coach/husband Loren and their young twin boys. While she enjoys coaching experienced athletes online, she loves to work hands on with athletes. She is happy to travel in the Idaho region for a full day clinic with a group of 8-10 triathletes.
